LA23NET wouldn’t be LA23NET without the hard work of many many people. There are the people you’ll see every month; Janett and Soph from FLOCK the Events and PR company behind LA23NET and of course the erudite Chair Grant Seaton of The Cumberland. But lurking in the background, hiding behind palm trees and smoothly capturing all the goings on are two other brilliant bods, our visual visionaries; Victoria Sedgwick and Sheenah Alcock. These two superb humans work tirelessly snapping, filming and editing LA23NET events so we can share them with the wider world in glorious technicolour.

You know by now that LA23NET loves supporting entrepreneurs, so without further ado get to know these two a little better….

Victoria Sedgwick – The Queen Vic of Photography

From arriving early to ‘case the joint’, to climbing on furniture to get the best shots Vix works like a trojan taking hundreds of beautiful pictures at the event. No one really notices her while she does all this, stealth is her middle name, actually, we’re going to start calling her Victoria Stealthwick.  Then, that night Vix edits them to perfection and within hours we have a full set of amazing pictures ready to use, and that’s important. Let’s face it, LA23NET is a weird networking event and to capture its fun approach takes some serious talent. Great event photography is about more than ‘the money shots’ it’s about freezing in time the things that made that event special, some things might be tangible – like the awesome speakers, local artisan food or quirky venue, but others are harder to capture. Sheenah Alcock – Sheee’s Simply The Best

“I’m rubbish on camera”not when Sheenah’s filming you’re not! So many people fear the looming lens of a videocamera but Sheenah is the master of getting people to chill out and not go all weird (technical term that.) Sheenah has been steadily building up a bank of LA23NET vids that will rock your world when we release them. Reliable, imaginative and more patient than the English Patient, Sheenah makes videos that are emotive and creative. Thankfully she is also really good at putting up with annoying briefs and amends like; ‘kind of whooshy’ or ‘bang bang bang…pffft’ or our personal favourite ‘like Pulp Fiction but with, you know, businesses and that’.
