Every month we get asked by you brilliant attendees if you can be the focus of future events…on 16th January you get your chance. In true LA23NET style this will not follow any kind of normal format whatsoever. Instead, speakers will take part in a game or two of Radio 4’s world famous ‘Just a Minute’. To make it a little easier you’ll be challenged to speak on topics you should know something about (hint it might be your area of expertise) but of course with the caveats of no hesitation, repetition or deviation. A bit like this….

Hang on, if I come will I end up having to sit on the panel?

No, only people who ask to be on the panel will be considered. You just register that bit when you book your ticket.

For those who would like the opportunity to talk a bit about themselves to about 70 people then go for it! Naturally we expect you’ll be more droll than Graham Norton, more sardonic than Liza Tarbuck, quicker than Paul Merton and hairier than Phil Jupitus but who, we hear you cry, will be Nicholas Parsons?

Here are some clues about her:

• Recently the focus of BBC Radio Cumbria’s Life Stories
• An award-winning businesswoman
• An academic
• A creative genius
• One of Prue Leith’s favourite ceramicists

All will be revealed…but not now. Later. Put it this way…she’s amazing, she’s fantastic but she’s not Dangermouse.
